What this is. The Studiolo is a private practice for identity architecture and intellectual estate building. It is focused on helping individuals and organizations build towards increasing levels of coherent identity, voice, and purpose.
This is a radical experiment in the spirit of building in public, embracing being seen imperfectly and mid-process, and stripping away performance to reveal operating reality.
Every day I publish what I am actually working on, researching, tinkering around with: random design files, experimental music pieces, the documents taking shape in Claude sessions, books and essays I am reading, screenshots I capture on my phone and desktop. This is absolutely not a curated portfolio. It is intended to be a real glimpse into my mind, my process, and my habits and rhythms. It is a living record of a practice in motion. My thesis is that my willingness to be witnessed will improve my thinking, output, and creativity.
I personally believe design and creativity are inseparable from who you are -- your spirituality, your psychology, your body, your vocation. I think it is all interconnected and the very act of separating these domains disconnects us from ourselves. I believe that private coherence precedes meaningful public contribution. You must know thyself. You must learn to know the nature of reality. Recent revelations have led me to believe that you cannot purely think your way into knowing yourself, knowing your mission, knowing reality -- but that you have to act your way there. You have to live, walk, do, and be your way there.
Ultimately, what I am building here with the daily and the studiolo is an attempt to act and think my way towards greater meaning, purpose, and service -- and hopefully to help many others do the same.
